Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on Tuesday the appointment of Nachiket Pantvaidya as the new General Manager of Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP), India. In his new role, Pantvaidya will oversee local Indian production while collaborating closely with Shony Panjikaran, the General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International, India.
Pantvaidya, who continues to serve as CEO of Sony Entertainment Talent Ventures, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He has an illustrious career, having previously served as Group CEO of Balaji Telefilms and Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television. Pantvaidya has also held significant roles within the Star TV network, including Business Head of Star Plus, Head of Star Pravah, and Managing Director of Fox Television Studios.
An alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Pantvaidya has also been associated with renowned organizations such as the BBC and Disney. His diverse experience and industry knowledge are expected to significantly contribute to Sony Pictures India’s growth and success in the region.
