HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Queen’s Health System has announced an immediate change in leadership, appointing Jason Chang as its new president and chief executive officer. Chang succeeds Dr. Jill Hoggard Green, who has held the role since 2019.
Jason Chang, who previously served as president of The Queen’s Medical Center and most recently as the inaugural president of The Queen’s Health System Innovation Institute, will assume his new duties immediately.
“All of us at Queen’s are grateful for Jill’s leadership over the last five years,” said Jenai Wall, chair of the Queen’s Health System Board of Trustees, in a news release. “Not only did she guide us through the COVID pandemic, but she embraced the challenge of moving Queen’s forward and advancing our mission.”
Reflecting on his new role, Chang expressed his enthusiasm about leading the organization. “I am excited to lead Queen’s into the future,” he said.
Dr. Jill Hoggard Green’s tenure was marked by significant challenges, including navigating the health system through the COVID-19 pandemic and spearheading various initiatives to advance the institution’s mission. Her departure marks the end of a transformative era for The Queen’s Health System.
The Board of Trustees is confident that Chang’s extensive experience and innovative approach will propel the organization to new heights, ensuring continued excellence in healthcare delivery and community service.
