AIIMS Delhi Doctor and TheLiverDoc Slam Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal’s Wearable as ‘Unscientific’

A senior doctor from AIIMS Delhi, along with popular medical influencer TheLiverDoc, has publicly criticised the wearable device recently seen on Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, questioning its credibility as a health or wellness tool.

Medical experts have stated that the device has “zero scientific credibility”, warning that it promotes unproven and misleading health claims. Taking to social media platform X, TheLiverDoc strongly criticised the product, alleging that it is based on an ancient and already debunked gravitational theory of ageing, with no supporting scientific evidence.

“A food delivery app owner proposes a long-disproven theory of ageing to market a zero-evidence wellness product that looks like a fat band-aid stuck to the temple,” TheLiverDoc wrote, calling out what he described as the growing trend of pseudoscience being marketed as health innovation.

The criticism has sparked an online debate around celebrity endorsements, unregulated wellness products, and the responsibility of public figures in promoting scientifically validated health solutions.
