Linda Yaccarino has announced her resignation as CEO of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. A source familiar with the matter told that her departure had been planned for over a week.
Yaccarino will be transitioning to a new role at xAI, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company. This move follows Musk’s announcement in March that he intended to integrate X into xAI by transferring the platform’s $33 billion valuation to the AI venture. Both X and xAI remain privately held.
xAI is also the developer behind Grok, a chatbot trained on user-generated content from X. The company’s growing influence in AI has been closely watched, especially as it expands into areas beyond social media.
